Data protection

Thank you for your interest in our website. The protection of your privacy is very important to us. Below we inform you in detail about how we handle your data.

Storage of access data in server log files

You can visit our website without providing any personal information. We only store access data in so-called server log files, such as the name of the requested file, the date and time of access, the amount of data transferred and the requesting provider. This data is analyzed solely to ensure trouble-free operation of the site and to improve our offer and does not allow us to draw any conclusions about your person.

Data collection and use for contract processing

We collect personal data if you voluntarily provide it to us as part of your order or when you contact us (e.g. via contact form or email). Which data is collected can be seen from the respective input forms. We use the data you provide to process the contract and your inquiries. Once the contract has been fully processed, your data will be blocked for further use and deleted after expiry of the retention periods under tax and commercial law, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we reserve the right to use data beyond this, which is permitted by law and about which we inform you below.

Data transfer for contract fulfillment

In order to fulfill the contract, we pass on your data to the shipping company commissioned with the delivery, insofar as this is necessary for the delivery of ordered goods. Depending on which payment service provider you select in the ordering process, we will pass on the payment data collected for this purpose to the credit institution commissioned with the payment and, if applicable, to the payment service provider commissioned by us or to the selected payment service in order to process payments. In some cases, the selected payment service providers also collect this data themselves if you create an account with them. In this case, you must log in to the payment service provider with your access data during the ordering process. In this respect, the privacy policy of the respective payment service provider applies.

Use of data when registering for the e-mail newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we will use the data required for this or separately provided by you to regularly send you our e-mail newsletter in accordance with your consent. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time, either by sending a message to the contact option described below or via a link provided for this purpose in the newsletter.

Use of data for postal advertising and your right to object

In addition, we reserve the right to store your first and last name, your postal address and – if we have received this additional information from you as part of the contractual relationship – your title, academic degree, year of birth and your professional, industry or business name in summarized lists and to use them for our own advertising purposes, e.g. to send you interesting offers and information about our products by post. You can object to the storage and use of your data for these purposes at any time by sending a message to the contact option described below.

Use of cookies

In order to make visiting our website attractive and to enable the use of certain functions, we use so-called cookies on various pages. These are small text files that are stored on your end device. Some of the cookies we use are deleted again at the end of the browser session, i.e. after you close your browser (so-called session cookies). Other cookies remain on your end device and enable us to recognize your browser on your next visit (persistent cookies). You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and decide individually whether to accept them or to exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general. If you do not accept cookies, the functionality of our website may be restricted.

Use of Google (Universal) Analytics for web analysis

This website uses Google (Universal) Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc(www.google.de). Google (Universal) Analytics uses methods that enable your use of the website to be analyzed, such as so-called “cookies”, text files that are stored on your computer. The information generated about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. By activating IP anonymization on this website, the IP address is shortened before transmission within the member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. The anonymized IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

You can prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) to Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de
Alternatively to the browser plugin, you can click this link to prevent Google Analytics from collecting data on this website in the future. An opt-out cookie will be stored on your device. If you delete your cookies, you must click the link again.

Evaluation reminder by e-mail

If you have given us your express consent to this during or after your order by activating a corresponding checkbox or clicking a button provided for this purpose, we will use your e-mail address as a reminder to submit an evaluation of your order via the evaluation system we use. This consent can be revoked at any time by sending a message to the contact option described below.

Right to information and contact

You have a right to free information about the personal data we have stored about you and, if applicable, a right to correct, block or delete this data. If you have any questions about the collection, processing or use of your personal data, for information, correction, blocking or deletion of data as well as revocation of consent given or objection to a particular use of data, please contact us directly using the contact details in our legal notice.

Integration of the Trusted Shops Trustbadge

The Trusted Shops Trustbadge is integrated on this website to display any reviews we may have collected and to offer Trusted Shops products to buyers after an order.

This serves to safeguard our legitimate interests, which predominate in the context of a balancing of interests, in optimal marketing by enabling secure shopping in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. The Trustbadge and the services advertised with it are an offer from Trusted Shops GmbH, Subbelrather Str. 15C, 50823 Cologne. The Trustbadge is provided by a CDN provider (Content Delivery Network) as part of order processing. Trusted Shops GmbH also uses service providers from the USA. An appropriate level of data protection is ensured. You can find further information on data protection at Trusted Shops GmbH here: https://www.trustedshops.de/impressum/#datenschutz

When the Trustbadge is accessed, the web server automatically saves a so-called server log file, which also contains your IP address, the date and time of access, the amount of data transferred and the requesting provider (access data) and documents the access. Individual access data is stored in a security database for the analysis of security anomalies. The log files are automatically deleted no later than 90 days after creation.

Further personal data will be transferred to Trusted Shops GmbH if you decide to use Trusted Shops products after completing an order or if you have already registered to use them. The contractual agreement concluded between you and Trusted Shops applies. For this purpose, personal data is automatically collected from the order data. Whether you as a buyer are already registered for product use is automatically checked using a neutral parameter, the e-mail address hashed using a cryptological one-way function. The e-mail address is converted into this hash value, which cannot be decrypted by Trusted Shops, before transmission. After checking for a match, the parameter is automatically deleted.

This is necessary for the fulfillment of our and Trusted Shops’ overriding legitimate interests in the provision of the buyer protection linked to the specific order and the transactional evaluation services pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. Further details, including on the objection, can be found in the Trusted Shops privacy policy linked above and in the Trustbadge
